Reverse description A heraldic eagle displayed, wings spread, is depicted within a plain inner circle at the center of the reverse field, rendered in the bold, angular Gothic style characteristic of late 14th- to early 15th-century Namurois coinage. The eagle, associated with the Imperial tradition and comital heraldry, is struck on an irregularly shaped hammered flan. The surrounding outer border carries a circular legend in uncial Latin characters reading +MONETA:NOVA:NAMVRE, identifying this as a new coinage of Namur.
