Reverse description Central device features a crowned, inverted pear-shaped three-part heraldic shield divided to display the arms of Denmark (three lions passant on semée of hearts), Norway (lion rampant with axe), and the Kalmar Union (three crowns). A small lined cross appears below the shield. The entire escutcheon is encircled by the collar and pendant badge of the Order of the Elephant, tied to the shield's border. A Latin legend in the king's personal motto runs along the rim, with the issue date and the initials of the mint master (H·C·M·) concluding the inscription.
