Reverse description A large crowned royal crown dominates the central field, below which appears the king's personal motto. A Latin legend identifying the king's titles encircles the central device. At the bottom, the date 1699 is split by the mintmaster's initials HCM, with the Kongsberg mint mark (crossed hammers) positioned to the right of the date. A beaded inner border frames the entire reverse design.
