| Obverse description | The obverse features a central allegorical composition of scholarly and ecclesiastical attributes arranged on a shelf: a stack of bound books surmounted by a lit candle in a holder, flanked on the left by a quill pen in an inkwell and a rosary with a cross, and on the right by an ornate candelabrum with zoomorphic decoration. A partially unfurled scroll occupies the lower centre, bearing the denomination numeral '2'. The curved legend 'НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ' arcs along the upper field, accompanied by the small Ukrainian trident arms above, while '2 ГРИВНІ' and the date '2015' appear in the lower field.
