Beschrijving voorzijde	Irregular square klippe flan struck in silver as a siege necessity piece. The city name BREDÆ is inscribed in two lines within a central inner circle, accompanied by the Latin necessity legend NECESSITATIS ERGO and the date 1577. Four counter-stamps are applied in the corners of the flan: the denomination mark Z (for 2 Gulden), a hunting horn, a fleur-de-lis, and the civic arms of Breda. The overall execution is characteristic of emergency coinage, with an uneven, roughly cut planchet and rudimentary die work reflecting the constraints of wartime production.
