Obverse description Allegorical female figure kneeling in right profile, partially draped, rendered in a classicizing Art Deco style by engraver Armand Bonnetain. The figure is positioned centrally in the field, her body turned slightly forward with arms extended. The Dutch legend BELGIË arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by decorative rosette stops. The engraver's signature BONNETAIN appears in small incuse letters along the left inner field. A beaded border runs along the entire rim.
