| Obverse description | The bimetallic inner disc features a right-facing portrait effigy of Giuseppe Garibaldi rendered in high relief. The legend SAN MARINO is inscribed along the upper left arc of the inner disc, while the year of issue 2007 appears along the upper right arc. The mint mark R for the Rome Mint is positioned to the left of the portrait, and the engraver's initials E.L.F. (Ettore Lorenzo Frapiccini) appear at the lower left of the inner disc. The twelve stars of the European Union are evenly distributed around the outer copper-nickel ring. |
