| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Carl XIV Johan, rendered with fine naturalistic detail and curly hair in the neoclassical style. The truncation of the neck is plain and unadorned. The circular legend reads CARL XIV SVERIGES NORR. G. OCH V. KONUNG around the periphery, separated from the field by a continuous inner toothed border. The portrait fills the central field with considerable relief, conveying a strong monarchical presence characteristic of early 19th-century Swedish coinage. |
