The date is divided by the hat at the top of the design. The reverse legend, commencing at approximately 2 o'clock, reads S.R.I.PR.SAL.S.S.AP.LEG.NAT.GER.PRIMAS, abbreviating the full title Sacri Romani Imperii Princeps Salisburgensis Sacrae Sedis Apostolicae Legatus Natus Germaniae Primas. The composition is enclosed within a beaded border, consistent with milled gold coinage of the Salzburg mint. |
