| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of Fiji at centre, flanked by two traditional Fijian warriors serving as supporters: the dexter supporter holds a spear and the sinister supporter holds a tabua (whale tooth), both dressed in traditional skirts. Above the shield, a British sailing vessel appears as the crest. The inscription '1 OZ' appears to the left of the arms and '.999 FINE SILVER' to the right. The legend 'FIJI 2022' arcs along the upper field, the motto 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui' appears on a scroll beneath the shield, and the denomination 'TWO DOLLARS' is inscribed in bold relief along the lower field. The entire design is framed by a decorative border of overlapping wave patterns and a Greek key meander motif. |
