| Beschrijving keerzijde | A stylised goat rendered in a traditional decorative style occupies the central field, its woolly coat depicted through intricate spiral motifs. The background is divided into quadrants by bold geometric lines, each quadrant filled with repeating Chinese characters 未 (the cyclical character for the Year of the Goat) in an ornamental pattern. The cyclic year characters 乙未 appear prominently in the upper portion of the field, and the denomination $2 is inscribed to the lower right. |

Singapore's Lunar New Year circulation commemoratives have been issued since 1967, but the 2015 Goat issue arrived during a period of quietly declining demand for such coins in everyday transactions — most Singaporeans by this point were exchanging red packets with notes, not coins. The Monetary Authority has nonetheless maintained the series, partly as a matter of institutional continuity and partly because collector absorption reliably clears the mintage.
