Sennefer was Mayor of Thebes under Amenhotep II and among the most decorated officials of the 18th Dynasty — his tomb at Sheikh Abd el-Qurna is famous for its painted ceiling mimicking a grape arbor, one of the best-preserved examples of New Kingdom private tomb decoration. Senai was his wife. The Solomon Islands has no historical connection to ancient Egypt; this is a collector-market issue produced for the thematic numismatic trade, a business model that has driven the islands' mint program since the 1970s.
