| 裏面の説明 | Full-color reproduction of the iconic Byzantine-style tempera icon 'Christ the Pantocrator' ('Spas Zvenigorodsky') attributed to the great Russian icon painter Andrei Rublev (c. 1400), rendered across the entire rectangular reverse field. The image depicts the frontal bust of Jesus Christ with a golden nimbus, dark hair and beard, and solemn, contemplative expression. The figure is clothed in a dark blue himation over a gold chiton, with the right hand partially visible in a gesture of benediction. The color reproduction faithfully captures the warm ochre and brown tones of the original panel painting, currently housed in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow. No inscriptions or legends appear on the reverse. |
