Reverse description The aluminum-bronze center depicts a solitary polar bear standing on layered Arctic rock outcroppings, facing left in a naturalistic three-quarter profile, engraved by Brent Townsend whose initials BT appear in the lower field of the center disc. A stylized Arctic landscape with distant ridgelines is rendered in low relief behind the bear. The nickel outer ring bears the legend CANADA along the upper arc and 2 DOLLARS along the lower arc, all in bold sans-serif capital lettering. The bimetallic composition creates a striking chromatic contrast between the gold-toned inner disc and the silver-toned outer ring, emphasizing the central wildlife motif.
