| Reverse description | Central field bears the denomination inscription TWO ANNAS in two lines, separated from INDIA and the date 1862 below by a horizontal rule, all within an ornate wreath of scrolling acanthus foliage. The wreath is composed of elaborate interlaced floral and foliate scrollwork, with a prominent flower at the bottom centre — the number of petals on this flower constituting a recognised die variety. The entire design is enclosed by a beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
