| Obverse description | Draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, wearing a long flowing curly wig in the Baroque manner, set within an inner beaded circle; the top of the bust and wig breaks through the circle and interrupts the surrounding legend. Below the bust, the denomination XV is displayed in Roman numerals within a shaped cartouche or frame. The legend, commencing at 12 o'clock, reads LEOPOLDVS D G R I S A GE H BO REX, an abbreviation of Leopoldus Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus, Germaniae, Hungariae, Bohemiaeque Rex. |
