Obverse description Central field bears the royal cypher of Frederik IV rendered as an interlaced double monogram surmounted by a royal crown, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, composed in Latin, is positioned between the inner circle and the rim, reading the king's personal motto. The design is characteristic of the restrained baroque heraldic style employed at the Copenhagen Mint in the early eighteenth century.
