Obverse description Central design features a detailed engraving of the Taedong Gate (Taedongmun), a historic two-tiered pavilion gate in Pyongyang, rendered in fine relief with traditional Korean architectural detailing including sweeping tiled roofs, stone foundations, and surrounding foliage.
