| Obverse description | Printed in brown by letterpress on plain paper, the obverse presents a straightforward typographic layout bearing the large denomination numeral '1000' and the Cyrillic legend ТЫСЯЧА РУБЛЕЙ in bold lettering at centre, with serial number panels positioned at upper left and right. The denomination 1000 РУБЛЕЙ is repeated vertically in both side margins, while a counterfeiting penalty warning and the date 1920 occupy the lower centre. Two manuscript signatures of the Commissar-Manager (Комиссар-Управляющий) and the Cashier (Кассир) appear beneath their respective printed titles in the lower field. |
