| Obverse description | Central field bears the former municipal coat of arms of Braine-le-Château (Dutch: Kasteelbrakel), as used between 1923 and 1991, a municipality of Wallonia in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. The heraldic device is rendered in relief with fine engraving.
