| Obverse description | Imperial double-headed eagle vignette at upper centre, within the main title band reading АВАНСОВАЯ АССИГНОВКА (Advance Assignat). The denomination 100 is printed in large numerals at left and right within bordered panels, with the value in words СОТО РУБЛЕЙ (One Hundred Roubles) across the centre. The note bears serial number, date references to 1920, and bears two manuscript signatures of the Chairman and Cashier of the Народно-Революционный Комитет (People's Revolutionary Committee), with a printed legend below referencing the short-term issue of the Sakhalin Oblast People's Revolutionary Committee. |

The Sakhalin People's Revolutionary Committee was a short-lived Bolshevik administrative body established on the northern part of Sakhalin Island following the chaotic withdrawal of White forces in 1920. Local emergency issues like this one were a practical necessity — central Soviet currency had no reliable supply route to the island, and trade needed some medium of exchange. The committee had neither the infrastructure nor the time to commission proper printing, which is reflected in the crude execution of this series.
P#S1281 is among the rarest of the Far Eastern civil war locals. The political entity that issued it ceased to exist within months, and surviving notes were not systematically collected in the region.
