Obverse description Central field bears the State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by two olive branches — with the face value '100' above and 'לירות' (Lirot) inscribed nearby. The trilingual legend 'ISRAEL / ישראל / اسرائيل' appears around the emblem in Hebrew, Arabic, and Latin script. The Jewish year 5740 and the Gregorian year 1979 are inscribed in the lower portion of the field. The design is executed in low relief against a flat, milled-edge flan.
