Obverse description Stylized rendition of the crowned arms of San Marino occupying the central field, depicting the three towers of Guaita, Cesta, and Montale rising from a rocky mount, flanked on either side by decorative sprigs. The motto LIBERTAS appears in the lower portion of the field, inscribed below the towers. The circular legend REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO runs around the periphery in stylized Latin lettering, rendered in a distinctive angular, graphic design style characteristic of San Marino's 1985 coinage series.
