The design is entirely typographic, with no figurative elements, the date appearing prominently in the lower portion of the field. The rim is plain and unadorned.

Reverse description Central field features a stylised effigy of Sint-Niklaas (Saint Nicholas) in episcopal attire, including mitre and staff, standing beside a traditional wooden boat filled with gifts, alluding to the patron saint's legendary gift-giving tradition. To the right of the central device, the denomination '100 KLAASKENS' is rendered in bold relief lettering. The legend 'WASE RUILCLUB' arcs across the upper periphery, while '2700 SINT-NIKLAAS' curves along the lower rim, enclosing the design. The engraver's initials 'PH' (Paul Huybrechts) appear discreetly within the field.
