Within the frame of a baroque ornament decorated with seraphim`s heads there is a depiction of the small National Emblem of Ukraine and a four line legend: УКРАЇНА, 100 ГРИВЕНЬ, 1998 (Ukraine/ 100/hryvnia/1998) and the designation of the metal- Au 900, its fineness, and 15,55, the coin weight in fineness.
