| Obverse description | Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King Zog I, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and sharp facial features in a naturalistic portrait style. The bust is unadorned and truncated at the neck. The engraver's signatures 'G. ROMAGNOLI' and 'A. MOTTI INC.' appear in small lettering below the truncation. The circular legend 'ZOG·I·MBRET·I·SHQIPTARVE' frames the portrait, interrupted at the base by an open laurel wreath that encircles the entire effigy. The design reflects the refined medallic artistry of the Rome Mint. |
