Reverse description The reverse depicts a panoramic Prairie harvest scene engraved by Stan Witten, featuring two detailed stalks of Marquis wheat in high relief and selective colour in the left foreground, their bearded heads and leaves rendered with fine botanical precision. In the middle ground, a combine harvester moves through a ripened wheat field stretching to the right, cutting a diagonal swathe across the composition. Above the horizon, a large setting sun partially obscured by billowing clouds dominates the upper field, evoking the vast Canadian Plains landscape. The engraver's initials TN appear incuse at the lower centre of the field. No peripheral legend is present, the design filling the full coin face to the raised rim.
