| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, wearing traditional Emirati headdress (keffiyeh and agal), rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. A curved Arabic legend arcs around the upper periphery, citing the full honorific name and title of the Sheikh. To the left, the dates 1918 and 2004 in Eastern Arabic numerals flank the bust vertically, denoting his birth and death years. The denomination '100 Dirhams' appears in Arabic script at the lower centre, below which a further inscription identifies him as Founder of the United Arab Emirates. |
