| Additional information |
Agnieszka Osiecka, poet and lyricist, died in 1997 and left behind over 2,000 song texts — more than almost any Polish writer of the 20th century. This coin was issued as part of NBP's ongoing commemorative series honoring Polish cultural figures, a program that has run since the 1990s and spans literature, music, science, and the visual arts.
The .925 silver specification places it in the bank's mid-tier collector format, distinct from both the heavier 28.28g Nordic Gold issues and the fine .999 pieces reserved for higher-denomination commemoratives.
