| Obverse description | Central design features a detailed rendering of the Taedong Gate (Taedongmun), a historic East Gate of Pyongyang, depicted in traditional Korean palatial architectural style with tiered rooflines and stone base, occupying the central field. The circular legend in Korean script reads along the upper periphery, identifying the Central Bank of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The date 2007 appears in the lower left field and the denomination 10 WON is inscribed in the lower right field, with a small five-pointed star at the base below the gate. |
