| Obverse description | Central field features a detailed relief depiction of the Namtaemun (South Gate) of Kaesong, a celebrated Koryo-dynasty architectural monument, rendered in fine engraving with multi-tiered rooflines and a stone platform base, flanked by stylised foliage in the lower field. The surrounding legend in Hangul script reads 조선민주주의인민공화국 (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), arranged along the upper periphery. The date 2007 appears in the lower left of the border, the denomination 10 WON in Latin characters to the lower right, and a five-pointed star ornament at the base, all within a raised rim. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a polychrome enamel composition celebrating the renowned Kaesong Koryo ginseng (insam). A large ginseng root, highlighted in golden-yellow enamel, occupies the lower left field, its characteristic bifurcated form and trailing rootlets rendered in fine relief. To the upper right, a cluster of red enamel berries is depicted alongside green enamel compound leaves of the Panax ginseng plant, all set against a mirror-polished proof field. The legend KAESONG KORYO INSAM curves along the upper border in raised Latin letters within a plain raised rim. |
