Obverse description Central device features the North Korean state emblem — a stylized hydroelectric dam beneath a five-pointed star, framed by sheaves of rice tied with a ribbon, all rendered in high relief against a polished field. A circular legend in Korean script arcs around the upper periphery, reading the full name of the Central Bank of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Below the emblem, the denomination '10 WON' appears in Latin characters, flanked by the fineness designation '1 OZ 999', confirming the coin's one troy ounce fine silver content. Decorative scroll elements adorn the lower field on either side of the denomination.
