| Beschrijving voorzijde | The national coat of arms of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea occupies the central field, depicting a hydroelectric power station beneath Mount Paektu with a five-pointed star radiating rays above, the whole framed by sheaves of rice tied with a ribbon bearing an inscription, and a stylised red star at the apex. The Korean-script legend of the issuing authority curves along the upper periphery, with the fineness designation '999' to the right and '1 OZ' to the left in the mid-field. The denomination '10 WON' appears in bold Latin characters at the base, flanked by decorative foliate ornaments. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a central circular inlay of tiger eye gemstone, upon which the facade of Toompea Castle in Tallinn, the historic seat of Estonian governance, is depicted in commemoration of the final issue of the Estonian Kroon. The castle tower and medieval fortifications are rendered in detail against the warm chatoyant surface of the gemstone. The English-language legend 'FINAL ISSUE OF THE ESTONIAN CROWN' curves along the upper periphery, with the date '2004' flanked by two five-pointed stars positioned at the lower portion of the legend. |
