| Opis awersu | Printed in green on a pale ground, the obverse carries the denomination in English, Arabic, and Hindi script at centre-left, with a circular intaglio portrait vignette of King George V in right profile at the lower right. The issuer title appears within an ornate guilloche panel at the top, with the legal tender clause and place of issue inscribed below the denomination. Three manuscript signatures of Currency Board officials appear at lower centre, with the date "1st January 1933" and "Nairobi" printed below. |
