备注

The East African Currency Board was a London-administered body managing currency across British East Africa, Uganda, and Zanzibar — notably without a central bank behind it, meaning these notes were backed by sterling assets held in London rather than by any local reserve institution. The 1921 date places this squarely in the post-WWI reorganization of East African monetary arrangements, when the rupee-based system was being wound down in favor of the florin and then the shilling.

P#14 is among the earliest shilling-denominated issues from the Board. Surviving examples are genuinely scarce — the combination of tropical climate, the practical demands of colonial commerce, and low original print runs took a severe toll on the paper.
