Obverse description The copper-nickel centre features the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar — the national emblem of India — depicted centrally in high relief, showing three lions passant on an abacus with the Dharma Chakra visible below. The motto सत्यमेव जयते (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth alone triumphs') appears in Devanagari script immediately beneath the emblem in the inner field. The denomination ₹10 is displayed prominently in large numerals at the lower centre. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the bilingual legends भारत to the left and INDIA to the right, arcing around the periphery.

Reverse description The copper-nickel centre presents a facing bust portrait of Shrimad Rajchandra (Raychandbhai Mehta), the renowned 19th-century Jain philosopher and poet, rendered in fine relief with his characteristic moustache. The birth and death years 1867 and 1901 flank the portrait at mid-field, left and right respectively. The aluminium bronze outer ring bears the bilingual commemorative legend in Devanagari script श्रीमद राजचंद्र and 150 वीं जयंती along the left arc, and SHRIMAD RAJCHANDRA and 150th BIRTH ANNIVERSARY along the right arc in Latin script, encircling the entire design.
