| Obverse description | Black intaglio print on cream paper with a lathe-work guilloche border repeating the word DIEZ on all sides. At left, a seated allegorical figure of Justice holds a balance scale; at centre, a vignette of three galloping horses fills the upper register. The denomination numeral X appears in large ornate type at upper left and right corners, with EL BANCO ARGENTINO in bold letterpress across the centre and the payable text DIEZ PESOS plata boliviana inscribed below in manuscript-style type. The note is headed Córdoba and dated 4 de Julio de 1873, with serial number and series letter printed below the bank name. |
