| Obverse description | Uncrowned left-facing effigy of King Charles III after the portrait by Glyn Davies, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features. The legend KING CHARLES III arcs along the upper periphery, with ISLE OF MAN continuing along the right field. The date 2025, flanked by two raised dots, appears in the lower exergual area. The field is smooth and polished, providing strong contrast to the boldly modelled portrait. |

The Brecon Beacons — rebranded Bannau Brycheiniog by the Welsh government in 2023 — appearing on an Isle of Man coin is a curiously long geographic reach. The Isle of Man issues its own coinage under the authority of the Manx Treasury, entirely independent of UK monetary policy, which gives it latitude to commission thematic series that Royal Mint issues would never entertain. This piece belongs to a broader circulation redesign released under Charles III following the accession coinage rollout that began in 2023.
