| Opschrift voorzijde | DN IVSTINIANVS P A (Translation: D(-ominus) N(-oster) IVSTINIANVS P(-erpetuus) A(-vgvstvs) `Our Lord Justinian, Perpetual Emperor`) |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field dominated by a large numeral I, serving as the denominational mark for 10 nummi (decanummium), surmounted by a Greek cross. Two pellets flank the cross, one to each side, reinforcing the decorative and denominational framing. The letter A appears to the left of the I and the letter P (rho) to the right, likely serving as officina or mint marks associated with the Thessalonica mint. The design is contained within a dotted border, and the overall composition is characteristic of Byzantine decanummia of the reign of Justinian I. The reverse exhibits the bold, simplified style typical of provincial copper coinage of the sixth century. |
