| Beschrijving voorzijde | Emperor Justinian I depicted enthroned facing, robed in imperial regalia, holding a long sceptre in his right hand and a globus cruciger in his left. The figure is rendered in a hieratic frontal style characteristic of early Byzantine coinage, with the throne visible beneath. The surrounding border of dots frames the imperial effigy, and the legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field dominated by a large I (denoting 10 nummi), flanked on either side by a cross potent, with an additional cross above. An officina letter precedes the surrounding legend. The mint signature THЄЧP appears in the exergue, identifying the Antioch mint. The design is rendered in the utilitarian hammered style typical of Byzantine bronze coinage from this period. |
