| Obverse description | The state coat of arms of the People's Republic of Bulgaria occupies the central field, depicting a rampant lion within a wreath of wheat ears surmounted by a five-pointed star, with a ribbon bearing the dates 681 and 1944 at the base. Two stylised flowering plant sprigs flank the coat of arms in the lower field. The denomination '10' appears in large numerals below the arms, with the legend 'ЛЕВА' beneath it. The date '19 79' is divided to either side of the shield. The circular legend 'НАРОДНА РЕПУБЛИКА БЪЛГАРИЯ' runs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic script, framed by a beaded border. |
