| Reverse description | The reverse presents a three-quarter bust portrait of Nicolae Milescu (1636–1708), the Romanian scholar, diplomat, and explorer, facing slightly to the right, rendered in detailed relief with a bearded visage and period-appropriate ornate attire. To his left stands an unfurled scroll accompanied by a quill pen, symbolizing his literary and scholarly accomplishments. The circular legend along the upper periphery reads 375 DE ANI DE LA NASTEREA LUI NICOLAE MILESCU, commemorating the 375th anniversary of his birth. At the base of the coin, flanked by six-pointed star ornaments, the birth and death years 1636 - 1708 are inscribed. |
