正面铭文 ROMANIA ALEXANDRU IOAN CUZA 10 LEI 2011
背面描述 Central device depicts the heraldic coat of arms of the United Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia as established in 1861, consisting of a divided shield surmounted by a princely crown. The dexter half of the shield bears the auroch's head of Moldavia with a star between its horns, while the sinister half displays the eagle of Wallachia. The circular legend surrounding the device reads 'STEMA PRINCIPATELOR UNITE MOLDOVA SI TARA ROMANEASCA' and the commemorative date '1861' appears in the lower portion of the legend, flanked by decorative dots.

附加信息

Issued as part of Romania's ongoing numismatic program commemorating national heraldic symbols, this piece was struck the same year Romania was navigating the tail end of severe IMF-mandated austerity following the 2008–2010 economic crisis — a period when the Banca Națională was simultaneously defending the leu and producing collector silver it knew would never circulate. The irony is not subtle.
