| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Oscar II with full beard and short hair, rendered in high relief with fine portraiture detail. The circumferential legend arcs around the upper field, reading OSCAR II SVERIGES OCH NORGES KONUNG, identifying the king as ruler of both Sweden and Norway. The date 1901 appears in the lower exergual area, flanked on each side by a small six-pointed star. The entire design is bordered by a continuous beaded inner rim. |
