| Obverse description | The obverse is centered on a detailed depiction of the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Zarvanytsia, flanked on either side by angelic figures drawn from the iconostasis tradition. The semicircular legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) arcs across the upper field, while the denomination and date, 10 ГРИВЕНЬ / 2010, are inscribed beneath the central icon. The small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine appears above the legend in the upper field. The overall composition reflects the devotional and artistic character of Byzantine-influenced Ukrainian religious iconography. |
