| 表面の銘文 | НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ 2013 10 ГРИВЕНЬ В.ГОРОДЕЦЬКИЙ 1863-1930 |
| 裏面の説明 | The reverse features a high-relief sculptural fragment taken from the ornate facade decorations of the House with Chimeras, set against an incuse background rendering of the building's contours. The architect Horodetskyi's facsimile signature is inscribed vertically along the left side of the field. A semicircular legend reading БУДИНОК З ХИМЕРАМИ (House with Chimeras) curves along the right periphery of the coin. The overall composition highlights the Art Nouveau architectural and sculptural character of the celebrated Kyiv landmark. |

The House with Chimeras — properly the Horodecki House — was built between 1901 and 1903 by Warsaw-born architect Władysław Horodecki, who reportedly wagered that he could construct a habitable building on the notoriously unstable, steeply sloping ground near what is now Bankova Street in Kyiv. He won the bet. The reinforced concrete structure was an engineering provocation as much as an architectural one, and Horodecki himself lived there until financial ruin forced him to sell it in 1913.
The building has served as a presidential reception house since 2005, placing it under state protection.
