| 表面の説明 | At the upper center, the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine is flanked by a semicircular Cyrillic legend reading НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine). The central field presents a stylized rendition of the 16th-century icon 'Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles,' depicted in a conventionalized artistic manner characteristic of Ukrainian ecclesiastical iconography. A candelabra is positioned symmetrically to the left and right of the icon composition. In the lower field, the date 2009 and the face value 10 ГРИВЕНЬ appear in relief. |

Rohatyn, a small city in what is now Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, was for centuries part of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth territory and later passed through Habsburg and Soviet hands before Ukrainian independence. The wooden Church of the Nativity there dates to the eighteenth century and is among the documented examples of Galician ecclesiastical timber architecture that survived Soviet-era destruction campaigns, during which thousands of religious structures across Ukraine were demolished or converted to secular use.
Ukraine's commemorative hryvnia program, launched in the 1990s, has consistently used regional religious and architectural heritage as subject matter — a pointed cultural assertion in the decades immediately following Soviet dissolution.
