Obverse description The obverse features a detailed bas-relief depiction of the Savur-Mohyla Memorial Complex, showing Soviet soldiers in heroic poses pushing artillery equipment across the lower field, with the tall obelisk monument and a sculpted figure rising above them in the background. A large five-pointed star in relief frames the upper portion of the scene. The Ukrainian trident coat of arms appears in the upper right field. The Cyrillic legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ arcs along the upper periphery, with the inscription МЕМОРІАЛЬНИЙ КОМПЛЕКС 'САВУР-МОГИЛА' and the year 2013 positioned in the lower field above the denomination 10 ГРИВЕНЬ.

Reverse description The reverse displays a stylized five-pointed star composed of interwoven ribbons in the Guard ribbon motif, centrally positioned in the field with the numeral 70 and the Cyrillic word РОКІВ (meaning 'years') inscribed within its center. A decorative olive and wheat branch with a flowing ribbon extends from the lower right of the star toward the bottom of the field. The year 1943, commemorating the liberation, appears along the lower periphery. The curved Cyrillic legend ВИЗВОЛЕННЯ ДОНБАСУ ВІД ФАШИСТСЬКИХ ЗАГАРБНИКІВ arcs around the upper and lateral periphery of the coin.
