Obverse descriptionAgainst the background of a fortification scheme of Sevastopol bastions and batteries there is a depiction of a monument to sunk ships (on the right); above it there is an inscription УКРАЇНА (Ukraine); to monument`s left there are placed: at the top - the small National Emblem of Ukraine above, the inscription - 10 ГРИВЕНЬ (10 Hryvnia) - in the middle, and the coin issue year beneath: 2004 - below. On the left in two lines there is the designation of the metal, its fineness and the coin weight in fineness. There is also the Mint logotype of the Bank of Ukraine
