| Obverse description | The note is divided into two panels printed in blue and orange-red on white paper: the left panel carries a letterpress vignette of a multi-storey civic building in fine line engraving above a bold blue numeral '10' and the Gothic-script legend 'Heller', with the redemption notice 'Einlöse-Termin 31. Dezemb. 1920' and the printer's imprint 'Robert Leitner' at foot. The right panel presents an ornate orange guilloche border enclosing the Gothic-script denomination 'Zehn Heller' in large blue type, the issuing authority 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Gainfarn' at upper centre, and a guarantee clause in German script below. Four manuscript signatures of municipal officials appear along the lower margin. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in olive-green on cream paper within a simple rectangular border, centred on a heraldic vignette of the municipal coat of arms of Gainfarn — a diagonally bisected shield with a castle tower in the upper half and a church in the lower, enclosed within a laurel wreath surmounted by a crown — over which a circular blue official stamp of the Bürgermeisteramt, Bezirk Baden, Gainfarn is applied. A two-column text in German script at left records the municipal council resolution of 26 May 1920 authorising the issue, while a partial printed legend at upper right references the total issue amount in Kronen and confirms legal tender backing. A diagonal blue manuscript annotation 'z. Ausgabe' appears at lower left. |
